○ What is semantic Search about?
Our search engine is an advanced semantic solution. Search is no longer only based on the spelling of a word but also on its meaning. A query launched on given terms will automatically and instantaneously result in a very useful term expansion. ○ Can I count on a good coverage of the languages I choose?
Enterprise Search can very quickly and easily be fed with news languages. Our coverage evolves with the needs of our customers and partners. Furthermore, we have identified and localized linguistic and semantic data of number of relevant languages. We can therefore fully process and support any given language within a very short amount of time.

○ Can we add our own corporate terminology to your semantic data?
Of course. Your organization can very easily feed our solution with its own terminology. Our search engine can therefore take into account your brands, acronyms and other branch specific terms. You can very easily customize or adjust the relations between terms to best fit your needs.

○ Is EES reserved for very large companies/organizations?
No. Our search engine potentially fulfills the needs of very large international organizations but we have made a strategic choice of also making our solution available to smaller entities. Our statement is that advanced search solutions should not be restricted to large groups.

Being an enterprise solution requires a commitment to safety. EES is fully supportive of Microsoft Active Directory security settings. Users without permission will not be given the opportunity to retrieve documents with restricted access. Restricted documents won’t even appear in the search results.

○ How complete is the indexing process?
EES’s connectors reads the documents in full during the indexing process. Many other solutions only provide a partial indexing of the documents and provide therefore inferior search capacity.

○ Is indexing a time consuming process?
EES is a powerful solution and provides an efficient indexing process. Indexing is incremental, meaning that preciously indexed documents only will be re-indexed if they since have been changed.

○ Can statistics be obtained around search activity?
EES allows the administrator to generate statistic reports enabling to quantify and qualify the search activity on a general level, for a group of users or even for an individual user. This statistic module makes it possible to manage search and ultimately to guarantee an optimized access to information. It is, for example, possible to visualize the most searched upon terms, the unsuccessful queries, …etc. If statistics show poor results on a recurrent query, this might be a sign for the administrator to make changes in the term expansion for a given word.

○ Is it possible to monitor internal and external activities (intra/internet)?
Yes. With EES it is possible to set-up an internal surveillance of the documents. Users can subscribe to alerts if changes are made to a series of documents or folders. Rules can be set-up for these alerts. Alerts can be triggered by some words you would have defined in advance and be sent to you by e-mail. In the same way it very easy for you to monitor various websites and to subscribe to changes. This feature is very useful if you wish to receive updates about your competition, news about your line of business or a daily press review. As for internal document surveillance, you can set-up specific rules to trigger alerts.

○ How fastidious and time consuming is the installation process?
We guarantee a smooth and painless implementation. Implementation can be achieved within days
if not one day for the most basic set-ups. There is no upper limit to the potential size of an implementation.
Implementation time varies of course with the size and complexity of the project but you can expect an efficient process.
